Make it stand out.
This is sometimes what a realistic hiring decision in IT & Web Dev can look like. A tech guy who would go up to someone, be really arrogant, and say “you don’t know PERL”, will usually have short lived career doing some legacy code maintenance…and then that’s about it. Why does a designer/developer who can make 20 “test copies” of a website for a live even or a concert oftentimes have a longer career? They get to know people over time. They get a sense of how events are funded, planed, and executed. There absolutely is a needed place for “fast moving designers” in a
tech ecosystem.
